AI Inspiration Policy

AI-Generated Reference Policy
Demps Design, LLC (Demps Design Co.) does not accept AI-generated logos, AI-generated brand marks, AI-generated brand identity graphics, or AI-generated “logo concepts” as reference material for branding projects. These materials will not be used as inspiration, direction, or creative precedent during the design process.

This policy exists to protect originality, reduce legal and licensing risk, and ensure all creative work is developed through a human-led strategy and design process.

Permitted inspiration types may include:

• competitor or industry examples (real companies)
• typography references
• color palette references
• packaging, signage, apparel, or print examples
• photography and mood references (tone, lighting, composition)

Not permitted as inspiration:

• AI-generated logos, emblems, badges, icons, and brand marks
• AI-generated “branding boards” or “logo options” created by AI tools
• AI-generated templates intended to be copied or replicated
• any content that imitates or appears to replicate existing trademarks/brands

If the Client submits AI-generated inspiration, Designer may request replacement references or proceed using strategy-based direction collected during discovery in lieu of those references.

If Client requests design direction that requires Designer to interpret, replicate, or “match” AI-generated brand marks, Designer may decline the request or treat it as out of scope.

If Client is unsure whether a reference is AI-generated, Client may ask Designer for clarification prior to submission.
